Operation Under
is a group of artists who paint murals hidden deep in the tunnels beneath the city of Los Angeles. Existing in secrecy and commemorating each location with a number, Operation Under has carried out over 100 of these group art projects since 2017.

The group consists of a diverse cast of characters ranging from graffiti artists, painters, writers, explorers, photographers, tattooers, nature enthusiasts and anthropologists.

Curiosity of the unknown is what draws us in. Some get drawn in further than others. The members of Operation Under have been sucked down the drain about as far as you can go.

The Life Underground exhibition is currently on view until Sept 1st. Gallery Hours are free to visit from Tues-Sun 12-7PM.
