One of the things we love about the Low Bros is that they can truly transform a space into something of their own. Perhaps that is their skateboarding passion; the ability to see a place and make come alive with their creativity. The Hamburg-born brothers have just painted the facade of a supermarket, more precisely, a former supermarket that now hosts the Affenfaust Gallery located in the St. Pauli district of the brothers' hometown.

Here is the story behind the work: Happy Meal ponders society's relationship with groceries and reflects on how distant and abstract the production of meat and dairy products has become for the daily consumer. It's interesting that, despite greater access to information through digital media, there still seems to be a long road ahead before we see effective change to our consumption habits.

Coupling their retro-futuristic aesthetic with recognizable elements such as the browser window, white kitchen-floor tiles and typical grocery items, the brothers fashion a familiar scene featuring their signature character; a wolf who experiences the world through the screens of his cool shades. Additionally, the striped blue-white pattern is inspired by the Aldi supermarket, which features an iconic pattern designed by German artist Günter Fruhtrunk in 1970.
