A few months back, we introduced the exhibition SONG at Creativity Explored, where curators Sophie Appel and Cole Solinger of Delaplane created an exhibition of the work of former artist Walter Kresnik, a collection inspired by music. Now on August 27 at Mission Synths in San Francisco, Creativity Explored's community of developmentally disabled artists and their supporters will present SONGscape on Saturday, August 27 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Mission Synths 3026 24th St, San Francisco. The event is free but registration is recommended as space is limited. Register here

Creativity Explored and composer Matt Robidoux are teaming up with electronic music hardware and record shop Mission Synths, to host an accessible public event for people with and without disabilities to make experimental music together.  Following a collaboration between Creativity Explored and Robidoux in 2019, where disabled artists created music with altered guitars, the SF-based neurodiverse art collective is excited to offer the public the opportunity to experiment with adaptable music-making technologies. The event and music-making is inspired by visual artworks on view in SONG at the Creativity Explored gallery in the Mission through September 3.

Before the event at Mission Synths, drop by the CE gallery between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to experience SONG, the last curatorial project by Sophie Appel and Cole Solinger of Delaplane featuring art by 12 disabled CE artists.
