Most artists can remember their inspiration for pursuing a creative field. For graphic designer Angie Su, it was the street art she saw when she was young. “The letter forms...it’s almost like a song and how they dance with each other. I was always very interested in lettering and typography and type,” said Angie.

After pursuing a business degree and working in finance for several years, Angie decided to reconnect with her childhood passion and learn the art of hand lettering. Angie enrolled in the Graphic and Digital Design Certificate at Parsons at Open Campus, a continuing education hub designed for working professionals. Taking courses enabled her to refine her lettering skills while still keeping her day job. Today, she works as a professional graphic designer and hand letterer.
