As mailboxes are starting to get filled with April 2012 issues of Juxtapoz, we think it may be time to make our announcement of the issue. In honor of his longtime friend, and legendary artist, we have a special piece on the legacy of Big Daddy Roth and his infamous Rat Fink character. As we embark on our 18th year as a print publication, we wanted to give a historical perspective of one of our earliest inspirations.

San Francisco-based fine artist Andrew Schoultz is the cover artist of our current March 2012 issue, where he discussed his history with San Francisco murals, his attention toward repetition, and his recent exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art alongside Paul Klee. We have a few excerpts from SFMoMA John Zarobell's conversation with Schoultz that didn't make it into the print edition...

This past weekend, Juxtapoz combed through our Reader Art section to find 20 new artists who have been posting in our Reader Art Forum. What we found was a mixture of names we knew and some brand new faces we were excited to learn about. We compiled a list of 20 Reader Art submissions that we think you will enjoy as well.

Looking through our archives recently, we all began debating some of the best covers we have published over the past 18 years. From Robert Williams to Swoon, from Barry McGee to Mark Ryden, here is our Top 25 favorite covers of all-time. They could be amazing cover images, special moments in time, an artist at the height of his or her powers, or an issue we have the best memories of putting together. Let the debate begin...

The March 2012 issue of Juxtapoz, featuring Andrew Schoultz on the cover, is now on newsstands and on our webstore. In a weird way, this issue began on the shores of Norway and ended in a desert in Tucson, Arizona, and found itself in the SFMoMA and in a studio in Miami, Florida. And we followed filmmaker, author, and performance artist Miranda July as she released her newest book, It Chooses You. Full preview after the jump . . .

Look what we got in the mail today: the March 2012 issue, featuring San Francisco-based fine artist, Andrew Schoultz. Mr. Schoultz is just one of the artists featured in our 18th Anniversary show at Copro Gallery this March, and just had work on view at the SFMoMA alongside the works of Paul Klee. We teased the February 2012 issue on the site last week, and now the Jeremy Geddes cover is making its way onto newsstands and into our webstore. The issue features interviews with Geddes, Ed Templeton, Laurie Lipton, Esther Pearl Watson, Modern Multiples, and Interesni Kazki.

We welcome the calendar year that is 2012 with the February 2012 issue of Juxtapoz, n133 on the record books. On the cover is Australian fine artist and painter, Jeremy Geddes, an artist that we feel needs no introduction from his brilliant work capturing both astronauts and everyday people in wonderful states of floatation in urban spaces. Geddes' friend, Ashley Wood (featured in November 2011), handles the interview.
